This blog is not written with a play on words in its message. It is written to sincerely ask: how are you feeling?
Have you checked in with your mental space lately? Are you thriving, doing ok or barely making it? Are you feeling like your normal self or are you feeling like you don’t recognize that person in the mirror?
How are you showing up for your responsibilities? Your talents? Your self-love and your self-care?
These questions should not be considered when, and only when, you are speaking to someone else. This is a tool designed to measure emotional health. A checks and balances system for maintaining homeostasis. A literal life hack.
This blog post does not come with the typical three steps to asking yourself how you’re doing. This is a note of encouragement. Most of us are way too busy finding out the emotional status or well-being details of our bosses, friends, relatives and adversaries.
Instead it would behoove us to check in on the person that matters most – yourself. Let’s face it, if you don’t know how you are doing you can’t address personal things that need to be adjusted. Without knowing how you’re doing you can’t even make an assessment of what is working well in your life so that you can continue to do it in a way that maintains your merry mojo.
